Robotically Automated SMP: SCATTER's Controls
Share
A robotically automated SMP device is easier to evaluate when its controls are described separately. SCATTER's manufacturer manual identifies automatic swing alongside angle, swing-speed, RPM, torque and DOT controls.
Swing angle and swing speed
The angle control has five selectable levels. The swing-speed control also has five levels, adjusted separately. One describes the selected swing-angle level; the other describes the selected swing-speed level.
During device orientation, ask to see each setting change on the interface. Keeping these labels distinct helps a team record and discuss the equipment accurately.
RPM and torque
The manual lists eight RPM levels and a torque on/off control. These belong to the device's operating system and should be reviewed using the current instructions for the supplied unit.
The specification is not a patient-specific prescription. A professional demonstration or training discussion should explain the interface within the manufacturer's operating guidance.
DOT, display and supporting features
DOT is identified as a separate function. The LCD displays operating information. The manual also describes a laser guideline and a support bar.
The guideline is an alignment-related device feature; its presence should not be interpreted as a laser hair-growth treatment. Review the exact function with the manufacturer instructions.
Cartridge adjustment
The manual describes a cartridge-length control and dedicated SCATTER cartridges. A mechanical length adjustment is not a measurement of actual penetration into a particular person's tissue.
