Use a consistent planning period
Choose the period being compared and label it clearly. A simple planning total is the initial confirmed outlay plus the recurring costs modelled for that period. Count an included item once, and keep unknown amounts outside the confirmed total until answered.
This produces a purchasing estimate, not a profitability forecast. It does not establish patient demand, practitioner capacity, treatment fees or clinical outcomes.
